Appointed as Assistant Resident Engineer at Iscor's Thabazimbi iron Ore Mine with full statutory responsibility for a part of the mine.
During this period manages various parts of the mine's engineering department, including the design office, various construction projects (including the installation of a large underground crusher plant), capital purchases for the whole mine, service workshops as well as the maintenance of the ore beneficiation plant, underground mining equipment, open cast mining equipment and all infrastructure.
